Update 2.0 for Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on September 21
CD Projekt Red has announced the release dates for Cyberpunk 2077’s free 2.0 update and Phantom Liberty pack. The 2.0 update will be available on September 21st on all platforms. This major free pack will bring extensive changes and graphical improvements to the game.
Key changes include a redesigned skill tree, an overhauled cyberware system, improved AI, a revamped police system and interface changes. On the other hand, players will have more options in vehicle battles.
According to CD Project Redi, you can now shoot from vehicles, launch attacks with mounted weapons and hack enemy vehicles during chase scenes. The NCPD (the game’s police) will also follow players who try to flee in vehicles and initiate a chase.
The Phantom Liberty expansion, starring actor Idris Elba, will be released September 26th exclusively on PC and next-gen consoles. Players will take on a new story and missions in a new area of Night City called Dogtown.
In addition to all these changes, Cyberpunk 2077 graphics are expected to be upgraded. Filip Pierściński, the game’s chief stage manager, even asked PC owners to check their cooling systems before the new update.
